Method
In a shallow pan
- 1 Green Peppercorns
small can, pickled, drained and slightly squashed to release juices - 1 Tsp Kosher Salt
- 2 Tbsp Oyster Sauce
- 2 Tbsp Soya Sauce
can also use Maggi sauce if available - 4 Garlic Cloves
minced - 2 Tsp Fresh Ginger
can use powdered ginger - 1 Tbsp Olive Oil
- ¼ Cups Whisky
- 680 Grams Beef Steak
Use small steaks, or cut into serving size pieces
1
Combine the ingredients in a shallow dish to create a marinade.
Add the steak, cover and leave to sit in the marinade for at least 2 hours. Turn occasionally.
- 1 Cup Whipping Cream
2
Grill the steaks, reserving the marinade.
Pour the marinade into a saucepan and bring to a boil to reduce slightly. If the gravy is still too thin, thicken with flour or cornstarch. Add the whipping cream and heat through to finish off the peppercorn sauce.
Serve the sauce over the steaks and serve.
