- 4 Garlic Cloves
- 450 Grams Orzo
1 package - 650 Grams Prawns
2 frozen packages, raw - 3 Cups Chicken Broth
- 2 Tbsp Old Bay Seasoning
premixed or homemade - 1 Lemon
zested and juiced
Old Bay Seasoning
- 1 Tbsp Celery Salt
- 1 Tsp Dry Mustard
- 2 Tsp Paprika
or spicy paprika for extra zing - 1 Tsp Black Pepper
freshly ground - ¼ Tsp Cayenne Pepper
- ¼ Tsp Allspice
ground - ¼ Tsp Cinnamon
ground - ¼ Tsp Nutmeg
ground - ¼ Tsp Ginger Powder
Method
In a small bowl
- 1 Tbsp Celery Salt
- 1 Tsp Dry Mustard
- 2 Tsp Paprika
or spicy paprika for extra zing - 1 Tsp Black Pepper
freshly ground - ¼ Tsp Cayenne Pepper
- ¼ Tsp Allspice
ground - ¼ Tsp Cinnamon
ground - ¼ Tsp Nutmeg
ground - ¼ Tsp Ginger Powder

If you don't have access to Old Bay seasoning mix, you can easily make your own. Mix the spice ingredients together and measure out the necessary quantity. Save the remainder in a small glass jar for future use.
In a heavy bottom pot
- 1 Tbsp Butter
- 4 Garlic Cloves
- 450 Grams Orzo

Fry minced garlic with butter. Then fry orzo for 2 minutes.
Add
- 3 Cups Chicken Broth
- 1 Lemon
zested and juiced

Zest lemon, and set aside for later before juicing.
Add chicken broth and lemon juice. Cook on high until it boils. Then cover and simmer for 10 minutes.
Add
- ¼ Tsp Nutmeg
ground

Add prawns, old bay seasoning, and lemon zest, and simmer uncovered until prawns turn pink.
