In a large pot

  • 454 Grams Beef Stew Cubes
  • ¼ Cups Olive Oil
  • 4 Onions
    peeled and coarsely chopped
  • 4 Garlic Cloves
    peeled and minced
1

Brown the beef cubes in olive oil and remove. Then brown the onions and garlic. Add the meat cubes back into the pot.

  • 2 Cups Water
    or more if needed
  • 2 Tbsp Sweet Paprika
  • 1 Tbsp Spicy Paprika
  • 1 Tomato Paste
    small can
  • 1 Tsp White Sugar
  • 3 Cups Tomatoes

Add the remaining ingredients and simmer for at least one hour. If the sauce is too thin you can thicken with flour.

Option: You can add chopped bell peppers and, if desired, a spicy pepper for extra zing.

Crock Pot Version: You can omit the browning step, add all the ingredients into a crock pot in the morning and cook on low all day.

Serve with warm crusty bread or over spätzle noodles.
