  • ¾ Cups Milk
  • 50 Grams Unsalted Butter
    1/3 cup
  • 1 Egg
  • ½ Cups White Sugar
  • 3 Cups All Purpose Flour
  • Tsp Bread Machine Yeast

Method

In the Bread Maker

  • ¾ Cups Milk
  • 50 Grams Unsalted Butter
    1/3 cup
  • 1 Egg
  • ½ Cups White Sugar
  • 3 Cups All Purpose Flour
  • Tsp Bread Machine Yeast

Place all the ingredients, in order, into the bread machine.

Set on the dough setting, which takes approximately 2 hours.

If you wish to include raisins into the hefezopf, then listen to the ingredient reminder timer and add these then.

Cut the dough into 3 equal pieces and roll into long pieces. Join at one end and braid. Allow to rise once more.

Brush with egg wash and bake in a 350ºF oven, until done. We aren't exactly sure how long, but our best guess in about 35 minutes.

Note: You can also sprinkle on sliced almonds before baking.
